How to find maxima and minima at Given Point

Hey there
Now I m talk u about tricks of maxima and minima at a given point.

Let we are interested to find maxima or minima for f(x). ie ..f(x) = ax²+bx+c
at a point x= a
Solution --

1-First differentiate it.
We obtained.
I.e.. 2ax+b
2- now put x= a
If it is +ve then maxima , -ve then minima, if zero
3- differentiate again then put x=a
If positive then minima or negative then maxima.
If zero .
4 similarly differentiate till u get non - zero value after putting x=a

Then
If u obtained  non-zero at nth derivative

If n is odd -
     Obtained positive - maxima
                     Negative - minima

If n is even-
     Obtained positive - minima
                     Negative - maxima

-Let no of electron is 8 then bond order is 0.
-  for 9 - 0.5
- for 10- 1
- for 11 -1.5
-  12 -2.0
-  13-2.5
-  14-3.0
-  15-2.5
-  16-3.0
-  17-1.5
-  18-1.0
-  19-0.5
-   20- 0

Note - Here 8-20 is no. Of electron
and 0-3.0 is bond order.
